SCHULTZE GETS THE BLUES(dir. Michael Schorr, 2003, 114 min.) Things are bad at the German salt mine, so accordion player Schultze (Horst Krause) and his out-of-work friends have lots of time on their hands. Fortunately American zydeco and cajun music intervene to spin their traditional polka playing into unexpected new directions. Soon Schultze decides to head for the source of his new inspiration—the bayous of the American South—in this comedic, sweet, humane, exuberant culture clash of a film.

Come once, or come every week. Tuesday nights at 7:00 in the Landis Cinema, Buck Hall.
