The William Lowell Putnam Mathematics Competition will take place on Saturday, December 6, starting at 9:45 in Pardee 216. Quite conveniently, this is the day after fall classes end, and final exams don’t begin until Tuesday, December 9.
If you are interested in registering for the competition, simply reach out to Professor Derek Smith (smithder@lafayette.edu) and ask for the registration link. He can also answer any questions you might have about the exam. Roughly 4000 students nationally took last year’s exam — why not give it a shot this year, and make all of your other exams in December seem easy by comparison! :)
