Neurodiversity, present in all Lafayette classrooms, characterizes the variation by which humans process information. This session will focus on how we can support neurodivergent students in classroom teaching, including learners with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, and additional conditions where individuals process information in ways that society considers neuroatypical. Prior to this session participants are asked to listen to and/or review the transcript of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast episode Fostering Neurodivergent Students’ Growth. The session will involve a panel discussion with several members of the Lafayette community. Lunch will be provided.
