Immigration law is an area where information is a mile wide and an inch deep.  When our nation was debating health care, our media and leaders facilitated nuanced discussions about the pros and cons of different health care systems.  By contrast, most Americans do not know how people get green cards, how they become citizens, who gets asylum, and what exactly is happening at the border.  This talk fills in those gaps by highlighting key aspects of our nation's immigration history.  When we have the same facts, we can work on real and lasting solutions.  The talk will look at current problems in our country's immigration system and propose actual policies that will make our system work better.
