The Kovalevsky Society is hosting a WOMEN IN MATH COMMUNITY READING event to celebrate the achievements of women in the field of mathematics. The event is open to everyone who is interested in learning about stories of women in math.

For those who are interested: there is no prior reading required. We will print short articles about prominent women in math, so you can select one to read during the event. We will begin with forming small groups, with each member of the group reading different articles, and spend approximately 10 minutes reading through the articles together. Then we will take turns within the groups to share highlights of the stories, ask questions, chat about inspirations and thoughts, etc., all while enjoying snacks. Afterwards, if there are enough people interested, we can continue to play some tabletop games to enjoy the afternoon with friends!

Cheers,
Allison Lewis (she/hers), Joy Zhou (she/hers), and Katie Storey (she/hers)
