Putnam Exam

If you like trying to solve hard math problems, take the Putnam Exam this Saturday!  This year, it’s an exam you can take online in time slots that are convenient for you.  It’s the perfect year to participate, even if you’ve never participated before: there will be no official score reports, but you will have your problem submissions graded and receive a personal score.  You can take it just for fun, or to practice for next year’s official competition.                                                The page https://artofproblemsolving.com/contests/putnam gives you all of the important details and has a button that takes you to the very simple registration page.  Register by the end of the day on Friday.                                          And feel free to drop by the informal Putnam Exam warm-up event that Professor Smith will host on Friday afternoon from 4:15 to 4:45 at https://lafayette.zoom.us/j/94803009631 .
