FACULTY FAVORITES FILM SERIES

PAN’S LABYRINTH (dir. Guillermo del Toro, 2006, 119 min.) is a visually stunning fantasia and an allegory about the dangers of fascism. Set in Spain several years after the Spanish Civil War, the story follows 11-year-old Ofelia (Ivana Baquero), whose life is displaced by the violence of war and brutal acts of oppression from both outside and inside her family. Ophelia descends into a dark and fantastical interior world that offers a beautiful and terrible alternate reality from the horrors visited upon reason and compassion and on the innocence of childhood.

Come once, or come every week. Tuesday nights at 7:00 in the Landis Cinema, Buck Hall.

Shuttle bus service to/from College Hill. All are welcome. Open to the Public. Popcorn. Free.
