Join the Office of Intercultural Development and the Easton Area Boys and Girls Club as we continue an ongoing conversation on Ferguson and other similar incidents. Our aim is to localize several issues that have continued on a national level, including: police and community relations, gun violence, race and racism. Specifically, the intended outcomes for particpants are as follows:

  • To encourage in-person, intergenerational dialogue between Easton community members representing different backgrounds and residential neighborhoods;
  • To explore issues related to race, law enforcement, media, and political power; and
  • To engage law enforcement and young people in brainstorming possible solutions for strengthening their relationships within American cities and towns.

We will be joined by elected PA and Easton officials, representatives from the Easton Police Department, local civic and religious leaders, Lafayette community members, and teenagers from the Boys and Girls Club. Through a series of interactive exercises, small and large group discussions, we will explore ways to move forward as a united, affirming and safe community for all.

Refreshments will be provided.
