Indigenous leaders Danitza Quispe Huillca and Ketty Marcelo López will discuss their trajectories in their communities, their work with the national organization ONAMIAP, and their experience attending the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Danitza Quispe Huillca is a Quechua leader from the Urinsaya Ccollana community in Cusco, Peru. She serves as the Youth and Childhood Secretary of the National Organization of Indigenous Andean and Amazonian Women of Peru (ONAMIAP) and is a board member of the Federation of Peasant Women of Anta (FEMCA). She will participate in the 23rd session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), dedicated to emphasizing the voices of Indigenous youth.

Ketty Marcelo López is a leader from the Asháninka nation in the Peruvian Amazon. She is the president of the National Organization of Indigenous Andean and Amazonian Women of Peru (ONAMIAP) and the Central Organization of Amazonian Indigenous Ashaninka Women of the Central Jungle (OMIAASEC). She has participated in national and international spaces advocating for the rights of Indigenous peoples, women, and territories, such as the UNPFII and the COP28 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai.
