Dr. Kirsch earned his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Radiological Physics. He has 28 years of research and development experience in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), both in academics and industry. He is currently working at the Athinoula A Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Charlestown, MA, as a part of an MGH/Siemens collaboration. As a result of this collaboration, the facility houses the world's most powerful MRI hardware dedicated to advancing the Human Connectome Project.  It is the only one of its kind in the world.
