Roger S. Newton, PhD, FAHA is Founder of Esperion Therapeutics, Inc, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology University of Michigan.
Following graduation from Lafayette in 1972 with majors in Biology and German, Dr. Newton earned a Masters in Nutrition from the University of Connecticut, a PhD in Nutrition from the University of California, Davis, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Newton’s research is focused on the nutritional, hormonal, and pharmacological interrelationships in the regulation of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism as they relate to atherosclerotic disease.
