LC’S SORORITIES AND FRATERNITIES PREPARE FOR MARINA DAY [EASTON, PA] Lafayette College’s community will unite and support Kappa Kappa Gamma in hosting Marina Day on Sunday, April 28th. The event will be held from 1 to 3pm on March Field. The sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority will be hosting the event to celebrate and honor the life of Marina Petersen, Class of 2010, who tragically passed away in the summer of 2009. The event will include volleyball games, a dunking booth, performances by a DJ and campus a capella groups, a wing eating contest, a raffle, a cookout, an egg and water balloon toss, lawn games and various other activities that various groups help run. In prior years, the event has been successful in raising more than $3,000 for an interim abroad scholarship in Marina’s name, which is available to the entire student body of Lafayette College. With this, Marina’s legacy continues to thrive in the name of a good cause, as she remains a contributing member of the Lafayette College community.
