DESCRIPTION:Abstract: In this talk\, we introduce a new family of groups ca
 lled the  \nk-shuffle braid groups. We will see how they arise in two diff
 erent contexts:  \nan apparently very combinatorial one\, as the fundament
 al group of a  \nCW-complex obtained from the poset of k-shuffle non-cross
 ing partitions\, and  \na more geometric context as the fundamental group 
 of spaces of complex monic  \npolynomials with a certain set of prescribed
  regular values. We will see that  \nboth spaces are classifying spaces\,
