The federal Gilman Scholarship supports global education opportunities for Pell Grant recipients. The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $5000 in merit-based scholarships for study abroad programs, as well as up to $1000 for STEM Supplemental Awards and up to $3000 for Critical Need Language Awards.
We invite all Pell Grant recipients to join this virtual info session held by alumni ambassadors of the Gilman Program. Briana Phung and Ryusei Taguchi will talk about the application process and how the Gilman Program both supported and enriched their study abroad experiences.
The Gilman's fall 2026 application cycle is now open and closes on October 1 at 11:59 pm PT (Oct 2 at 2:59 am ET). The current cycle includes all study abroad programs during winter 2027, spring 2027, summer 2027, and fall 2027.
