Liz Lerman is Founding Artistic Director of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange and has been the recipient of numerous honors, including a 2002 MacArthur “Genius Grant” Fellowship. Lerman’s work has been commissioned by Lincoln Center, American Dance Festival, and the Kennedy Center among many others. She is also a Creative Campus Fellow of Wesleyan University and has been recognized widely for recent collaborations with scientists, such as the Genome Project. Lerman is the author of several books including Hiking the Horizontal and (co-author of) Critical Response Process: A Method for Getting Useful Feedback on Anything you Make, from Dance to Dessert. Lerman will discuss interdisciplinarity in the arts and in performance.
