This Thursday, August 13, at 7PM, the Village on College Hill will present the silent film (with music) "Picaddily" (1929) in Kirby Hall of Civil Rights, room K104. In"Picadilly," "a young Chinese woman (Anna May Wong) working in the kitchen at a London dance club is given the chance to become the club's main act." "Picadillly" has been called a "backstage cross-class murder-mystery about love, seduction, eroticism, sexual taboo, transgression and death – the little things in life."
