How can we better support neurodiversity in the classroom? Join us for a specialized workshop designed to enhance faculty knowledge of ADHD and explore practical strategies for supporting students at Lafayette.
The workshop will be led by Sasha Montgomery ‘26 (Neuroscience) who has been working in collaboration with Dr. Wendy Hill (Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education), Dr. Laura Murray (Center for the Integration of Teaching Learning and Scholarship), and Ms. Marty Sullivan (Accessibility Services). This engaging workshop offers a unique student perspective on how ADHD manifests in the college environment. Faculty will learn to identify common ADHD behaviors, explore the rationale behind standard accommodations, and discover practical ways to foster an inclusive classroom. Participants will also be invited to complete two brief surveys to help evaluate the workshop's impact.
When: Monday, May 4 | 4:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
