DESCRIPTION:LCCME performs music by 20th- and 21st-century composers: estab
 lished \nmasters\, emerging artists\, and students. Now in its ninth seaso
 n\, LCCME has \npremiered 24 new pieces\, all of which were composed speci
 fically for–or \nby–the ensemble. LCCME has also performed music by master
  composers Arvo \nPärt\, John Cage\, George Crumb\, Karlheinz Stockhausen\
 , Terry Riley\, and \nothers .It performs one-two concerts each academic y
 ear.\n\nLCCME regularly incorporates electronics\, improvisation\, video\,
  lighting\, and \ntheatrical elements into its programs. Recent projects i
 nclude a micro opera \non a student libretto\, a live performance of a sou
 nd track to the silent film \nNosferatu\, and many premieres of student co
 mpositions.
