DESCRIPTION:Jazz Combo is a performance ensemble class which pursues the st
 udy and \nperformance of jazz repertoire. Students develop interpretation 
 and \nimprovisational skills in jazz compositions and arrangements in a va
 riety of \nmusical styles. In Jazz Combo\, we build a camaraderie among th
 ose involved \nand develop as a musical family where everyone has a place 
 to create\, be \nexpressive\, and have fun. The students learn how to list
 en intently and blend \nwith each other. They also learn the nuance\, phra
 sing\, and style of jazz \nmusic and inspire each other in the process of 
 performing. Jazz Combo has \nperformed works by master composers such as:
 \n\n“Joy Spring” by Clifford Brown\n\n“Windows” by Chick Corea\n\n“Milonga
  Gris” by Carlos Aguirre\n\n“Winter Sun” by Esperanza Spaulding\n\n“Song f
 or Bilbao” by Pat Metheny\n\n Jazz Combo also encourages students to compo
