Stop by Study Abroad's info table on March 31 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Farinon atrium to learn more about our new winter 2027 program, The Tuscany Studio! The course will bring you to Volterra, Italy for three weeks. You'll explore the Tuscan hill town as a living archive of Etruscan, Roman, medieval, and contemporary history. Experience a slower communal lifestyle, work with your hands in an alabaster studio, and go on excursions to San Gimignano, Florence, museums, Roman sites, and more.
The Tuscany Studio is primarily a writing course. Students will create a portfolio through writing exercises around town, structured studio sessions, group workshops, and individual instruction. Students will also learn about the local history and culture, analyze humanistic texts, and reflect on the experience of place.
