Following the productive visit from the Hanson Center Visiting Scholar Dr. Nilanjana “Buju” Dasgupta earlier this month, we are pleased to announce a second interactive workshop for untenured faculty designed to reach faculty who weren’t able to attend the earlier session. The workshop for untenured faculty will be facilitated by Lauren Anderson (Dean of the Faculty), Wendy Hill (Director of the Hanson Center), and Laura Murray (Director of CITLS). We will use the slide deck and insights provided by Dr. Dasgupta during her earlier visit to guide the session.
Please RSVPby Friday, March 27, at 12 PM

About the Session

Drawing on the themes of Dr. Dasgupta’s recent book, Change the Wallpaper: Transforming Cultural Patterns to Build More Just Communities, this session will examine the unseen norms, practices, and structures that shape decision-making in Lafayette’s departments and programs. Together, we will consider how these patterns affect untenured faculty and identify ways to foster more inclusive, transparent, and supportive cultures.

We encourage you to submit anonymous feedback by Friday, March 27 at 12 PM. Your input will directly inform the workshop’s focus and help us address the specific opportunities and challenges within our community. If you are unable to attend the workshop, your feedback is still welcome as it will help shape our next steps.
