Easton Area Community Center is a private non-profit 501 c3 organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for educational and athletic activities for children between the ages of five and eighteen years of age. Lafayette College Zeta Psi Fraternity volunteers weekly mentoring with EACC. Members break up intoo groups and play games, work on art projects and match up with individual children and make personal connections. To provide programs, resources and role models in a safe haven that enhances the social, physical and mental well-being of youth and adults. http://eastonareacc.org/ The Tau Chapter of Zeta Psi was established at Lafayette College in 1857, making it the thirteenth chapter of the fraternity. The Zeta Psi house was constructed in 1910, designed by William M. Michler (a native of Easton and architect of many of the houses on North 3rd Street) and James B. Baker. In 2001 the house was placed on the United States National Register of Historic Places. Notable alumni of the chapter are the following: William C. Buck, late owner of the Philadelphia Phillies, Fred M. Kirby, late Chairman of the Board of Allegheny Corp. and dedicated philanthropist, and Joe Maddon, manager of the Tampa Bay Rays.
