Join us for an evening lecture with Mark Lagon, former United States Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and current Chief Policy Officer at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience, Ambassador Lagon will explore how the politics of human trafficking have evolved at key moments in 2000, 2010, and 2020, tracing shifts in global awareness, legal frameworks, and government responses. The lecture will also highlight the critical role of partnerships in combating human trafficking, with a focus on multi-state and cross-sector collaboration as essential tools for effective prevention and accountability.
This event will be of particular interest to students of public policy, international relations, and human rights.
