Join us for an evening lecture with a the Director of Research, Kimbery Babiarz, from the Stanford Human Trafficking Data Lab whose work examines human trafficking across global contexts. Her research focuses on human trafficking in China and Southeast Asia, and she currently applies quantitative methods to study labor trafficking and child labor in Brazil.

The talk will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how human trafficking research is designed and conducted, highlighting the many methodological approaches scholars use in this field. Drawing on her experience leading a research lab, she will discuss research design choices, data collection, and the challenges of measuring hidden and vulnerable populations.
