Join us for a presentation by Dr. Raychelle Burks, Provost Associate Professor at American University and ACS Grady-Stack Award winner. An analytical chemist and renowned science communicator, Dr. Burks specializes in developing portable, low-cost chemosensor arrays for forensic and national security interests. Her team utilizes everyday technology like smartphones to create field-ready sensing systems with applications across numerous disciplines. Learn how her collaborative research bridges the gap between complex chemistry and real-world portability.
