Lafayette Marquis Consort Performance

The Marquis Consort, Lafayette College's early music ensemble, presents its Fall semester concert on Sunday, December 7th, 3:00 PM on the main stage of the Williams Center for the Arts.  The program is entitled "Stylus Phantasticus, music of the 17th century," and the repertory explores the experimentation, flamboyance, and virtuosity of the "fantastical style" that emerged in Italian and Central European during the time of Habsburg Emperors Ferdinand III and Leopold I.  Featuring soprano Bella Crapanzano, violinists Audrey Kurtz & Maria Soukup, violist Adrian Santopatre, cellist Andreas Pelekis, Brian Morris, flute and recorder, Daly Gibson, harpsichord & organ, and Adelaide Rafieyan, harpsichord, Lewis R. Baratz, recorder, harpsichord, and director.
