 s of almost 600 \nmillion listeners worldwide. That means a classroom proj
 ect\, a faculty \nresearch story\, or a campus initiative has the potentia
 l to reach audiences \nfar beyond campus walls. Podcasting is also becomin
 g increasingly popular in \neducation\, with faculty in multiple disciplin
 es assigning student-created \npodcast projects to foster creative and col
 laborative learning experiences. \nJoin this Forging Connections session t
 o explore podcasting as a powerful \nform of communication and public enga
 gement. The workshop will be led by \nProfessor Kathleen Parish (English D
 epartment)\, who teaches Writing for the \nEar and brings expertise in pod
 casting\, and Professor Benjamin Cohen \n(Engineering Studies Program)\, w
 ho integrates podcast assignments into his \nFirst-Year Seminar Ten Ways t
 o Know Nature and was the co-host of the \naward-winning Various Breads an
 d Butters [1] podcast (2015-2019).  All \nstudents\, faculty\, and staff a
 re invited to join this session to learn \npractical strategies\, explore 
 resources to support podcast production\, and \ngain insights into what ma
 kes a podcast compelling\, engaging\, and effective.\n\n \n\nLunch will be
