Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in a Nutshell

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a powerful, yet easily accessible technology, used for analyzing and mapping information about the world around us. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to basic GIS concepts followed by a tour of GIS projects that shed light on the power of cartographic visualization and spatial analysis. Workshop participants will be provided with resources to pursue further lessons in GIS online.
