Insight Lab: Deploying AI to Solve Problems and Create Value

The Insight Lab is a joint initiative led by the computer science department and the policy studies program. Our student team uses AI and machine learning techniques to analyze complex datasets, investigate trends across diverse social indicators, and generate actionable insights for decision and policy makers. Through our interdisciplinary partnership, students use AI tools to perform rigorous research without needing advanced technical expertise. The computer science students develop and manage algorithms and evaluation metrics, and the policy students focus on interpreting analytical outcomes and developing informed, practical solutions to pressing societal challenges. By bridging technical and policy research, the Insight Lab fosters an inclusive environment where advanced data analytics are accessible to students from a wide range of academic disciplines.
