Join the College Writing Program for a lunch panel and discussion about writing and critical race theory. What is the importance of storytelling and lived experiences in understanding race and racism? Panelists will discuss how language and writing are shaped by sociocultural power dynamics.

The conversation will be facilitated by Prof. Mikael Awake (English) and the panelists include Prof. Nandini Sikand (FAMS), Prof. Daniel Quirós (LLS), Prof. Lindsay Brown (English), and Prof. Carmen Valdivia (LLS). Lunch will be served at 12pm and the conversation will begin at 12:15pm.
