As Sexual Assault Awareness Month comes to a close, our work to understand and bring awareness to these issues never truly ends. Join us as we end the month with a call to action with our keynote speaker, Cheyenne Tyler Jacobs. Jacobs is an educator and writer whose passions are rooted in dismantling our institutional oppressions and writing stories that creates space for marginalized communities. Her keynote speech combines global and national statistics about the abuses to Black bodies, exposes the unique realities of a woman of color as a survivor of sexual violence, and unpacks the uncomfortable realities of the internal dialogues about marginalized communities that fuel the underlying systemic conditions of sexual assault and abuse.
