Comprehensive sex education has been shown to prevent sexual violence, as it gives individuals the tools and information they need to make informed and responsible decisions pertaining to sexual, romantic, and social relationships. However. not all sex education is created equal and is not only lacking for all people, but especially for queer folks. This training examines the history of heteronormativity and cisnormativity in sexual health information and considers approaches for queering our understanding of sex and sexuality. Free prizes, giveaways, and snacks available to attendees!
