Safety Planning for Supporting Survivors

Survivors are never to blame for the abusive actions of others, yet it is still important for survivors to be able to feel a sense of safety and control as they navigate an abusive relationship. A safety plan is a personalized and practical plan that assists a survivor in identifying steps they can take that help them navigate their lives, reclaim their autonomy, and find security while escaping or processing abusive relationships. This workshop offered by Robin Gow with Aster & Petrichor will equip students with a basic understanding of relationship violence and how to support and assist survivors in safety planning.
