On Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 7PM, in 104 Kirby Hall of Civil Rights, the Village on College Hill will screen the animated film “Inside Out” (original, 2015). Everyone is invited to the free showing. According to Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times, “InsideOut [is] a bold, gorgeous, sweet, funny, sometimes heartbreakingly sad, candy-colored adventure that deserves an Academy Award nomination for best picture.” "Eleven year old Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley is guided by her emotions: Joy(Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind. Although Joy tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school”[Pixar]. This is not "Inside Out 2" (2024). The Village on College Hill, an Easton community group, shows films every second Thursday of the month. Movies are shown with open captions. An optional discussion follows the screening.
