Dr. Jenn Rossmann (Baird Professor of Mechanical Engineering) will explore the intersection of race, society, science, and technology and how technologies reflect the ethno-racial and gender politics embedded in society. Dr. Rossmann will address such questions as how do race and ethnicity influence technologies, their design, and the policies governing them? And, how can we reimagine and create more just and equitable futures? This presentation is part of a semester of programming organized by the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education on Does AI Generate IDEA’s?
