A talk for Sophomore Engineering Students: The enormous increase in U.S. natural gas production is creating an economic advantage for America in the form of lower cost energy, increased supply security, creation of new jobs, and enhanced global competitiveness. An abundant, competitive U.S. natural gas supply provides a strong foundation for increasing economic output, opening up new and valuable opportunities in many regions and sectors of the economy, including energy and other industrial sectors such as steel, auto manufacturing, and chemicals.
