This workshop will help faculty design writing-intensive classes in STEM disciplines or help them integrate more writing into their STEM classes. The workshop will be facilitated by Neal Lerner. Lerner is a professor and director of the writing center at Northeastern University. Before that, he worked in the MIT writing program, training faculty to use writing in their courses. He has also co-authored a book about MIT's revision to its undergraduate communication requirement entitled _Learning to Communicate in Science and Engineering_ (MIT Press 2010).
