Allentown photographer Theo Anderson is well known for his photographs of the abandoned Bethlehem Steel plant. The selection of large-scale images in the Lafayette exhibition reveals a different Pennsylvania. Like the steel plant photos, there is always careful attention to color and shape, but here Anderson captures views we might overlook: a blue sky and a mundane chain-link fence; an otherwise ordinary side yard with a surprise dash of color; a stack of plywood. As a result, he asks us to pay attention—stop, look, and see—the landscape we inhabit
