DESCRIPTION:Honoring missing and murdered women and children throughout the
  world\, t/he \nRed Sand Project/ is a collaborative artwork conceived by
New Tork based \nartist Molly Gochman\, which uses sidewalk art and earthw
ork installations to \ncreate opportunities for people to question\, conne
ct\, and take action against \nvulnerabilities that can lead to human traf
ficking and exploitation. The \napproach is symbolic\, with the grains of
sand\, a metaphor for those \nindividuals who fall through the cracks—whet
her the cracks of our social\, \neconomic\, and political systems or those
of our personal consciousness.\n\nCommunity members and guests are welcom
e and encouraged to join us in filling \nin the cracks in rememberance of
lost indioviduals. We do this in October in \nconsideration of our indigen
ous peoples\, and in particular\, the Lenape and \nDelaware people.\n\nPle
ase consult our KSAT website in case of a rain date. \nwww.karlstirnerarts
