Join the Landis Center as we welcome back Amanda Pisetzner ‘10! Amanda is an Emmy-award winning producer, Emmy-nominated writer, and documentary storyteller. She currently works as a supervising producer and showrunner at VICE News. At Lafayette, Amanda was an English and Social Justice double major, whose work with the Landis Center focused on the lived experiences of low-income and incarcerated women. Amanda’s visit will center on the interdisciplinarity of her career as she engages our community in a series of discussions about the housing crisis, film production, and translating English degrees into nontraditional careers. Her visit will culminate in the screening of Backgrounded, a docustory she produced and directed last May for Showtime, that discusses housing inequity in the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
