DESCRIPTION:While Easton won't see a total eclipse on April 8\, we will see
  >90% of the \nSun covered at peak eclipse!\n\n \n\nThe partial eclipse wi
ll begin just after 2pm and peak around 3:20pm. The \nPHYS 108 Astronomy c
lass and the Lafayette Astronomy Club will be out on the \nquad to share s
afe solar viewing methods between 2-4pm. The Astronomy Club is \nespeciall
y excited to share their new Hydrogen-alpha telescope which will \nshow a
very different view of the Sun than what you're used to. \n\n \n\nNever lo
ok directly at the Sun with just your eyes! Use ISO \n12312-2:2015-certifi
ed eclipse glasses from a reputable dealer\, and/or use \nsafe methods to
project an image onto another surface. See more information \n[1] on safe
solar viewing from the American Astronomical Society\, and contact \nProf.
  Stephanie Douglas (douglste@lafayette.edu [2]) with any questions.\n\n\n[
