Come celebrate the Lunar New Year on Friday, Feb 9 at 6pm with the Chinese Program (Department of Languages & Literary Studies) and Asian Cultural Association in Farinon. The Lunar New Year, which is celebrated in several cultures across Asia, is based on the lunar calendar, with this year being the year of the dragon! This year, please join us to receive traditional red envelopes (filled with candy and some prizes) and also join us for a collaborative menu with Upper Farinon!

The Lunar New Year is widely celebrated in East Asian countries such as Japan, Mongolia, China, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and many others! So don't forget to wish a Happy Lunar New Year to your fellow international students, and anyone who is celebrating the holiday away from home!

We wish you health, prosperity, and happiness in the new year of the Dragon and hope to see YOU at the Lunar New Year celebration on February 2nd.
