The Harm Mapping Project: Findings from a study examining student experiences of gender-based violence at Lafayette College

Led by Professor Dana Cuomo (WGSS), members of the Gender-Based Violence Research Lab will present findings from The Harm Mapping Project, a study examining the geography of gender-based violence at Lafayette College. Using data from a participatory mapping exercise in which over 500 Lafayette students participated, The Harm Mapping Project details where students have experienced or feel vulnerable to experiencing different forms of gender-based violence (e.g.: verbal harassment, unwanted touching, sexual assault) and provides recommendations for how the College might modify the built environment to help reduce experiences of harm.
