Lafayette College Class of '61 International Speakers Series 2023 Dialogue: The Sustainable Energy Transition in the Global South

Lafayette College and the Class of '61 alumni are excited to welcome Vikram Singh, Senior Principal and Senior Program Director for the Global South at RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute), for a presentation and dialogue on the potential and promise for sustainable energy transitions in the Global South. Mr. Singh is a globally sought-after expert on energy policy, climate finance, and large-scale strategic funding. Prior to taking up his position at RMI, Mr. Singh worked for the United Nations, coordinating with multilateral agencies, donor governments, and civil society to mobilize billions of dollars in funding to support efforts to reduce poverty and inequality. As part of his talk, Mr. Singh will reflect on his recent experiences at a high-level political forum on climate change with the G20 and the 2023 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change meeting. Mr. Singh will be in dialogue with a panel of students and faculty with interests and expertise in sustainability.
