Praised by Gramophone as a “vivid pianist” and by the American Record guide as “on fire”, Lafayette faculty pianist, Holly Roadfeldt, will take you on an hour-long musical journey in North American Narratives. Recital highlights include the recently-recorded evocative works by Anthony J. Lanman from the Hommages CD to be released by Roadfeldt alongside performances of Troubled Water by Margaret Bonds, études by Philip Glass, music by Gershwin, and Mary Kouyoumdjian’s poignant Aghavni [Doves] based off the poem “Carpet Weavers” following the lives of a group of women before, during, and after the Armenian Genocide.
