Skip and Dan Wilkins

Associate Professor of Music, jazz pianist Skip Wilkins, serving in his final semester of teaching at Lafayette College, says goodbye to the Campus Community from the MainStage of the Williams Center, his final performance as a member of the Lafayette Music Department.  Skip has given 24 previous MainStage performances with a range of guest performers.  The first of these was a solo concert that took place during Family Weekend in September 2000, It was recorded live and later released on the Dreambox Media CD, “Skip Wilkins Solo – Live at Lafayette.”  During his tenure at Lafayette, Skip released fourteen CDs, featuring a broad range of American and European performers.  For his final performance as a member of the faculty, Skip returns with the Skip & Dan Wilkins Quartet, featuring his son Dan on saxophones, as well as bassist Tony Marino and drummer Bill Goodwin.  Bill previously served as the 2015-2016 Alan & Wendy Pesky artist-in-residence.  Joining the Quartet as special guest is Skip’s daughter, vocalist Emily Fredericks (Wilkins).
