Please join the Lafayette College community for a special reception as we dedicate the Class of 1962 Gateway Plaza and celebrate the escarpment multimodal trail and historic step refurbishment.
Refreshments and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Supported by a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, the escarpment project makes substantial improvements to the pedestrian pathway that connects downtown Easton with the College Hill neighborhood, including reconditioning the historic stairs that serve as the primary city-campus transition.
In addition, the Class of 1962 Gateway Plaza provides a welcoming entrance to campus and is located at the top of the steps, between Ruef and Keefe Halls. Supported by members of the Class of 1962 in honor of their 60th Reunion, this space will be the bookend to what begins down the hill at the Class of 1926 arch.
