During the June 1967 (Six-Day) War, Israel proved its military strength against its Arab neighbors, significantly expanded its territorial holdings, became the occupying force in the West Bank and Gaza strip. This talk will explore this history with a focus on the way American Jews responded to this game-changing event, as well as the new questions that these conquests raised and continue to raise within that community.
