The Chemistry Department will hold a summer tie-dye activity on Friday, August 11th from 12-4pm in Hugel 205! We aim for the event to strengthen our campus community by engaging staff, faculty, and students across all divisions in a shared activity!

If you would like to tie-dye a shirt, please sign-up to attend using this Google form. Space is limited, so please sign-up by Friday, August 4th. (Please sign into your Lafayette Google account in order to complete the form.)

You may bring your own pre-washed, 100% cotton t-shirt to tie-dye, or you may purchase a pre-washed, 100% cotton t-shirt for $3. To make sure we have enough dye to go around, we are assuming that everyone will tie-dye a shirt.

The tie-dying will take place in the General Chemistry lab space, so attendees must wear lab appropriate attire to the event. Lab appropriate attire consists of shoes that completely cover your feet and clothes that fully cover your body, including legs, stomach, lower back, and upper arms. An example of appropriate lab attire would be sneakers, jeans, and a t-shirt. The tie-dye can stain clothing, so please keep that in mind when selecting your attire.
