Please join us for Dr. Kitzinger's lecture on Dostoevsky's pivotal novel, Crime and Punishment, and how its unique publishing context of serialization (publication of portions of the novel over time in literary journals) can help us rethink the modern storytelling of prestige drama, exemplified by HBO's The Wire.

Chloë Kitzinger is Assistant Professor and Acting Director of Rutgers's Program in Russian and East European Languages and Literatures. She is the author of many articles on the novels and narrative strategies of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky and Mimetic Lives: Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, and Character in the Novel (Northwestern UP, 2021).
